The Blue Cottage
A 2-bed cottage in a private and tranquil setting, luxuriously appointed and affording spectacular views across Loch Awe and to Ben Cruachan beyond. Ideal for couples, families with children and groups of up to 4 adults.
The Blue Cottage is remarkably cosy; its super-efficient insulation combines with gas central heating and a wood-burning stove to keep you toasty even on frosty mornings. This is a pet-friendly rental; we accept one medium sized dog or up to two small dogs per booking.

Blue Cottage guests receive a free welcome hamper with essentials such as milk, eggs and bread plus local produce that can include jams and Loch Fyne Ales.
Take the strain out of shopping for provisions - if you would like the cottage stocked for your arrival with fresh, local and in-season produce and maybe some luxury items, we can provide this service for an agreed supplement; simply contact us when booking to make arrangements. The Blue Cottage has its very own Activity shed with fishing equipment, mountain bikes, golf clubs and walking sticks. Guests are welcome to use the sports gear, but do so at their own risk and will be liable for any damages. For guests wanting to try fishing Loch Awe, we can help you with a day fishing permit (it's only £10/day). We can also help guests book a private boat cruise on the loch.
Despite its secluded location, a pathway belonging to The Blue Cottage takes you down to the Ardbrecknish bar and restaurant just a 4 minute stroll away. Cosy, friendly and a hub for the local community and its characters, the bar offers a wide range of malt whiskies and tasty evening meals.

Blue Cottage facilities:
*Please note, the bikes are old and basic but serviced and usable for short trips; their use is entirely at the risk of the property rental customer. The set of golf clubs are also basic, but suitable for a round of gold at the nearby Inveraray or Dalmally 9-hole courses.
